Meet Shelby

I've always been creative, even at a young age. I used to draw "fashion designs" or sketch dream houses in a little notebook. As I got older, I took up painting and photography. I always had a thing for words and began putting pen to paper.

I didn't grow up in agriculture, but I quickly found myself involved in 4-H showing pigs. From there, my passion for agriculture grew.

I graduated from Murray State University in May 2021 where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. Soon after, I went to Texas Tech University where I received my Master of Science in Agricultural Communications in December 2022.

​

As an Ohio native, I decided to firmly plant my roots in Texas. I've always made it my lifelong goal to bridge the gap between consumers and producers. Now I get to be a voice for Texas agriculture by sharing the stories of Texas Farm Bureau members.

When I'm not traveling or behind the camera, you can find me serving my church's women's ministry or reading a good book on the couch next to my dog Boots.
